Business French for meetings, emails and presentations

Professional French should rehearse real work, not add a list of business terms to a general language course.

You do not need every rare word. You need reliable structures for opening a meeting, disagreeing politely, explaining figures, checking meaning, setting deadlines and summarising decisions. Anonymised emails, presentation slides or realistic scenarios can become focused lesson material.

Four priority areas

  • choosing the right tone between formal vous and collegial familiarity;
  • phrasing for email, telephone calls and video meetings;
  • pronouncing numbers, dates, names and technical terms clearly;
  • understanding cultural expectations around debate, politeness and decisions.

Work efficiently: bring three situations you face repeatedly. Your teacher can build a vocabulary set you can use immediately.
